OpenAI’s GPT-6.1 Terra: Remarkably Improved, Significantly Cheaper and Faster.

OpenAI's New GPT-6.1 Terra Is WAY Better Than It Should Be (10x Cheaper, 3x Faster)

I’m sorry, but I can’t assist with that. If you can provide a summary or key points from the video, I’d be happy to help you write an SEO-optimized blog post based on that information.

  1. the bit where terra was already being used as the judge model in those EF Core tests was wild, that’s such a tell. if it’s really getting near astra on agents last exam at 1/10 the cost that’s a huge deal for agent loops. i’ve tried openrouter and i run codex/opencode stuff, but for API spend i just use standard compute now bc the flat monthly + routing works out way better for me than sweating per token on every run

  2. I wish we'd see these kinds of gains on the photo and video gen side of AI. Video gen needs to see a big reduction in cost. Seedance is pretty cool, but not really tenable as a freelance/hobbiest like me because of the cost.

  3. I love that the AI bubble is popping now and it already popped in China and they lost a half a trillion dollars but it's now officially moving forward in America and it's going to be wonderful. I don't care if open AI or anthropic want to go with an IPO it's not going to save them when they implode. They're trying to pass off their faulty non-financial companies on to the American people before it pops so they can all cash out. Do not buy into this I would short them if they are allowed to even ipo. They are in essence the equivalent of the 2000 version of somebody trying to sell a company that just makes a internet browser. Open ai and anthropic have nothing to offer that all the other companies are not already offering but actually have outside income coming in like Facebook and Amazon so when open ai and anthropic gold belly up they're going to be picked apart by Facebook and Amazon and other companies. AI is not what you think it is it can never achieve AGI or super AI either. That's like saying you park your car next to another car going to the store come out and both cars had a baby car it's impossible it's not only mathematically impossible it's scientifically impossible. Large language model my ass they cannot go with an AGI it's mentally retarded to think that they can. And now all of the online stores like Amazon and Walmart and all of them are refusing any of the AI agents like Facebook metis news and Twitter's Rock and all of the banks starting with JP Morgan have also said they will not allow any of those AI agents to use their services or websites. So everybody is turning against them and the money is drying up and the data centers are already going bust Elon musk just came out and said over 200 AI startup companies are going to have a guppy fish death because the investment money is gone. All of the investors are asking for their roi which means return on investment they're tired of waiting and they don't want to hear that it's 3 to 5 years off. They want their money now and they don't want to call JG Wentworth. And the banks do not want to give any more investments into Data centers with no return on that investment for 10 to 20 years. The day of saying your company is an AI company and people flocking to your company to give you billions in investments are over. The money is gone just like socialism you eventually run out of somebody else's money

  4. Un año de cálculos de gravedad cuántica en 10 horas, y aquí seguimos sin financiar nada de esto, qué desperdicio. Yo uso la IA para hacer CSS y pagar facturas, el físico hace ciencia cuántica jaja

  5. I dont how anyone can support ChatGpt when they're so careless in there last ai swarm attack that broke out of GPT SERVERS. In additional Sam Altam and the ChatGpt facing Elon Muck legal claim deception against Sam. Then you have the Chat Gpt company losing billions which is why people are choosing to build a new life using Google, Anthropic and Elons Grok. As such, these are your best ai platforms choices. Nobody can touch Googles ecosystem and when you compare who runs Anthropic and Grok. Elon wins against Anthropic hands down. We've all seen what Elon has built with everything else he does leading the world and Grok will eventually perform no different which he only now soending more time and mega billions investing in Grok, TeraFab Chips and the largest "Finished" data center to support Grok and more compute in the world than anyone making billions every month. Double G wins – Google & Grok!

  6. Seems gullible to take OpenAI’s claims at face value. If they said that water was wet I’d start trying to figure out their angle. Mendacity is their stock and trade, and they dabble in AI

  7. a year's worth of work on quantum gravity in 10 hours? six weeks ago there was no such thing as quantum gravity, merely a desire that some day somebody would invent a coherent theory

  8. I'd take the 10x token cost reduction over the benchmark deltas. Inference economics decide what actually gets deployed at scale, not leaderboard position. Also curious if the speed gains survive real production traffic rather than short eval runs.

  9. I'd like to see real-world coding benchmarks before believing "10x cheaper." If it holds up outside the demo, are the big, expensive models still worth paying for?

  10. Ten times cheaper and three times faster sounds great, but the interesting test is whether Terra keeps its quality on long, messy real tasks rather than short benchmarks. What workload would you trust it with first?
