Nvidia’s Bold Move to U.S. Chip Production

Nvidia has embarked on an ambitious mission to shift part of its AI chip manufacturing to the United States, commissioning over a million square feet of space in Arizona and Texas. This move is a powerful stride towards strengthening the American supply chain, as stated by CEO Jensen Huang.

With production initiated at TSMC’s Phoenix plants and supercomputer facilities under construction in Texas with partners Foxconn and Wistron, Nvidia is setting the stage for a massive increase in AI chip output. Partnering with Amkor and SPIL for packaging and testing in Arizona, the company plans to ramp up mass production within the next 12 to 15 months.

The vision includes an astounding goal: to produce up to half a trillion dollars of AI infrastructure domestically over the next four years, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs along the way.
