Generative Video Drops! Kling 2.6, o1, & NEW Models!

Exploring the Latest AI Developments

What’s up, everyone? Welcome back to the Mattvid Pro AI YouTube channel! It’s already Wednesday, and we’ve had quite a few exciting upgrades in the realm of AI video technology. But before we jump into that, there’s some interesting news on the horizon regarding OpenAI.

Upcoming OpenAI Model

Rumor has it that OpenAI is set to release a new reasoning model next week, which is said to be superior to Google’s Gemini 3. The Gemini 3 model primarily focuses on building and coding capabilities, so it’s anticipated that OpenAI’s upcoming model will excel in similar areas.

Furthermore, there’s chatter about an internal project codenamed “Garlic” — details remain somewhat murky, but Chris X has suggested that the model launching soon is not this garlic model. It’s essential to approach these rumors with a degree of skepticism, but considering OpenAI’s competitive nature, I wouldn’t be surprised if they aim to outpace Google by the year’s end.

Exciting Developments in Generative Video

Now, shifting our focus to generative video technology, Cling has unveiled two cutting-edge models that have been generating substantial buzz. You may have come across Cling01, known as the Omni model, or the Nano Banana for video. However, the big news today is the launch of Cling 2.6, which proudly introduces native audio generation.

This advancement reflects a growing trend, as various companies are now developing models capable of generating high-quality audio. OpenAI has Sora 2 in the mix, while Google presents VO3.1, and we can’t overlook LTX-2.

Highlights of Cling 2.6

Let’s dive deeper into what Cling 2.6 has to offer. The visuals are nothing short of impressive! The realism of the creatures is remarkable, particularly the physics and the fine details in hair quality. A few slow-motion sequences showcase the intricate movements, like when an elephant interacts with its environment.

The standout feature of this model is undoubtedly the advanced audio capabilities.

Audio Quality Comparison

After previewing several clips, it’s clear that Cling 2.6 offers superior audio quality, especially compared to LTX-2. One example that stands out is a clip featuring an engaging educational theme: “Hello, let’s learn our letters today.” The clarity and richness of the audio elevate the overall experience, making it more immersive for viewers.

In conclusion, the advancements in AI technology continue to elevate the standards in both video and audio generation. As OpenAI gears up to release new models and Cling enhances its offerings, the landscape of generative media looks brighter than ever. Stay tuned as we explore these developments further in upcoming videos!

  1. Kling has passable and okay SFX, but the actor dialogue delivery is just plain AWFUL. Definitely NOT a major step forward. And is anyone going to address how expensive the new Kling models are? It’s more than $3 for a 10-second clip (using 01)!

  2. This is definitely one of the most honest, realistic channels with fair assessments of video AI. I really like the multiple prompts and tests, especially when we get to see the “Pepsi Challenge” battle mode runs between all the top models.

  3. Only thing I don't agree with you on is the acting quality. As a casting and VO Director in the video game industry, that acting wouldn't make it to the second round of the audition process.
