  1. And reminder. Open Source Models are always At most months behind.
So 2027.That's bound to be when the bubble pops but also the year Open Source AI tools will likely reach the:
"As close as perfect as it need to be."

  2. rebuilding a seedance clip of a game that doesn't even exist into something you can actually play in 45 min is wild lol. did the unreal pirate cabin hold up when you walked right up to stuff or did the procedural objects fall apart up close?

  3. An initial thought: Movies to Video Games. What's the estimated token bill to turn The Shining into a Playable Unreal Video Game!!?? Imagine every other movie that has ever been made…

  4. Seems like the Unreal pipeline might be a bit limited. But I could see a lot of applications for this using WebGL (or similar) for interactive 3D webpages. That's an emerging trend, to "gamify" a website interface. Not a full "Game" with strategy, objectives, and victory conditions, but to add more intuitive interactions. People have been doing that since the 90s, but it's always been gimmicky and clunky. We're just now starting to see it get good.

There's three basic levels of gamified interfaces.

Level 1: (shit level) You have a library you walk through and select a book off a shelf instead of clicking a boring link. It can look nice, but the novelty wears off quickly because it's slow and cumbersome.

Level 2: (Okay-ish) Imagine a "Magic Eight-Ball" on the page, hooked to an LLM that would weigh meaningful data to respond to your questions in a manner better than just random chance. Still constrained to the standard predefined answers, but actually helpful. "Will it rain today" queries local weather and provides the actual answer. Things like that. Sometimes you need just a simple answer, and it could be delivered in a stylized way.

Level 3: (The goal) Actual simulations of the real world as a means of conveying information. Maybe online driver's education which shows you the dash of your actual car and simulates your city's streets with actual real-time weather and traffic conditions.

This seems like a viable pipeline for superior content in that form.
