Former xAI Engineer Sues Company Over Safety Concerns

A former engineer at Elon Musk’s xAI has initiated legal action against the company and its parent, SpaceX, alleging wrongful termination due to his concerns over AI safety protocols.

Devin Kim, who parted ways with xAI in September 2025, filed his lawsuit in a California state court on Tuesday. The timing of the lawsuit is particularly notable, as it arrives just ahead of SpaceX’s highly anticipated IPO, which is projected to be one of the largest in history.
