GPT-6 Just Did the Impossible... 99% AGI

  1. LOL the impossible. Come on man, its a LLM. LLMs have ZERO AGI capabilities. ZERO. Whatever bullshit they push as AGI aint AGI, not even close… and NEVER WILL BE.

  2. We still need significant architecture changes to stabilize honesty, awareness of what it does or does not know, have long term human-like memory, proper mature world models and predictive modeling, etc. It's getting very capable, but it's still VERY brute force, using scale to make progress instead of efficient intelligence through multi-modality and reasoning.

It's less AGI, and more a library of everything ever with an average reasoning ability, with zero self-awareness or understanding of what it is actually doing.
There's also no real point of AGI for the public if it's not small and efficient enough to run locally. No one with a brain would trust the cloud with their lives, nor can anyone who isn't already extremely well-off financially afford cloud models anyways, nor should we support the rich financially as much as possible.

  3. the difference between %99.9 AGI and %100 AGI is like the difference between a monkey and a human, so no gpt 6 is not AGI, I dont even need to try to say this cos when they hit AGI if they ever do they will charge premium, like $1000 an hour or something

  4. 7.8% to 99.9% on ARC-AGI-3 in one generation is a contamination red flag. Did the held-out tasks postdate the training cutoff? Until ARC verifies it, I'm reading this as a vendor number on a course funnel.

  5. You really should instruct your AI Scriptor to put a lil more effort. Maybe update your agent markdown to please list all the clipped sources… 6 mins 17 secs "The reviewer … she …" is so disrespectful with no reference. I doubt you will ever read this and fix it. Cranking out more vids is important, is´n´t it ? Imho, please respect the humans and their work. Or don´t .. its your channel ..

  6. GPT-6 and it jumps to 99%? just at 6… "coindicence" in 2026… next year playstation 6… gforce 60 series… it looks like everything is a 6 lately. It' s NOT coordinate and preplan AT ALL.

  7. Real release (GPT-6 Astra, launched Sept 3, 2026), but the "99% AGI" framing is YouTube hype, not what OpenAI actually claimed.

What OpenAI's president Greg Brockman actually said: "I think it might be about this model" (re: AGI), personally believes they've reached it, but explicitly left it to users to decide, ending with "welcome to the AGI era" — vague, deliberately ambiguous marketing language, not a specific "99%" figure OpenAI ever stated. No source found uses that number — that's the YouTube channel's own invented framing on top of real hype.

Multiple outlets (Gizmodo, TechRepublic, Axios) explicitly push back: OpenAI's own definition of AGI is a system that "outperforms humans at most economically valuable work," and none of the coverage shows Astra actually clearing that bar — several of the most-cited benchmark results depend heavily on external agent infrastructure/tools built around the model, not the model's own raw capability. Also worth noting: Altman himself said earlier this year AGI "isn't a super useful term" — right around when a competitor was ahead — then leaned into AGI framing hard once it's his own model's turn, which several outlets called out directly as inconsistent.

Bottom line: real model, genuinely major capability jump (especially computer-use/agentic tasks), but "99% AGI" is not a real OpenAI claim — it's YouTube clickbait layered onto already-aggressive corporate marketing language.
