My experience with GPT-6 so far consists of "usage limit reached, wait 5 hours to use again" That's after 1 reply on a plus plan…. So I don't know wtf all of this is? It's far too expensive to use via API and they won't let you use it in their chat plans.

I wouldn't recommend from scratch, I would recommend using assets and having the AI put it together, why Waste tokens on making the AI make a Medieval city when you can just have it put it together
It's weird to me image generation and image to 3D models and auto rigging is so good, but the showcases for assets used by AI for these projects is like, early PS1 era at best.
Seems to me like they are intentionally hiding what is actually possible to keep the AAA game dev industry from crashing or something.
If AI can autonomously create projects of high quality assets but only mediocre implementation, there's largely only refinement and balance to do increasingly at the high end.
Which don't get me wrong, that's still a lot, but it does mean studios should probably be innovating and putting out awesome indie tier games experimenting constantly.
